One week down...51 to go

The first week of 2012 was fantastic.  I made great progress on my goals, got back to my healthy lifestyle, and had a great week at work.  I can say that I'm already feeling loads better than I did at the beginning of the week - eating well, getting plenty of water, working out, etc.

I've also found some great accountability groups to help me stay on track.  Yee haa.

Going into this week, I don't really foresee any major challenges.  I'm feeling better (over my nasty cold) so I should be able to hit the workouts a little harder and get some better quality sleep.  But no special events or late nights coming up.  I need to find more time to dedicate to the Van Gogh though.  It's just hard to find good chunks of time to dedicate to it.

There is one thing weighing on my mind right now.....and that's what the end of this week will bring.  Hopefully good news...

Back to the Blog

Between the new job and keeping up with a toddler, I have let my blogging slip - quite evidently.  But, in the spirit of the new year, I'm picking it back up.

I've set myself some goals for 2012.  They're pretty basic and shockingly similar to last years goal.  I will:
  • Work out 4 days a week
  • Make progress on the Van Gogh cross stitch
  • Read 16 books
  • Run 6 miles continuously
  • Spend a quality date night with Brad once a month
An 'unspoken goal' is to be....productive in the reproductive arena.  We're doing what we can to make that happen.

During the month of January, I will drink only 2 caffeinated beverages per day (quite the challenge as I LOVE me some coffee). work out for 600 minutes, and keep my food journal.

This year I look forward to growing in my professional life, as well as spiritually.  I have found myself in a job that I love, and I found a church where I feel at home.

Bring it on, 2012!
